The City of Palaces

Literally translated, ‘Luxor’ means ‘Palaces’ – and it’s a place that certainly lives up to its name.

Visitors flock to the Egyptian city to experience the stunning ancient temples, royal remains and mesmerising monuments that have seen it labelled the world’s greatest open air museum. The city is built right on the river Nile, and you’ll find incredible sights on both sides of the water, but it’s the West Bank Necropolis that boasts the iconic Valley of the Kings. It’s there you’ll find the tomb of Tutankhamun, the most famous Pharaoh of them all.
