South Africa’s third largest city, Durban gives its visitors a true appreciation of the great outdoors.

It’s located on the country’s colourful east coast, and provides a beautiful beach scene with swathes of yellow sand, as well as gloriously green golf courses further inland. There’s plenty more sport to be found here too – Durban is the self-styled home of South African sport with some wonderful venues – but if all that seems a little too energetic, you can relax and unwind in the city’s stylish cafés and shops instead.
