Nottingham might be best known for the legend of Robin Hood, but the famous outlaw is only part of the story here.

The East Midlands city also wows with a wealth of other pre-Roman history, and promises some of the finest ‘retail therapy’ outside of the capital. There’s greenery in abundance too – notably Robin’s famous Sherwood Forest, and the beautiful gardens of Nottingham Castle, both perfect for a relaxed countryside stroll.
