Venice of the North

Stockholm has been referred to as the ‘Venice of the North’, and the comparisons are understandable.

A third of the Swedish capital is made up of wonderful waterways, with the inner city actually comprising 14 islands connected by some 50 bridges. It makes for an awe-inspiring place to explore, both by boat and on foot – with a captivating, romantic Old Town to uncover. As if it were mathematically divided, another third of the city is made up of green space. It all adds up to make Stockholm one of the most intriguing and relaxing cities in Scandinavia.
